Research abstract
Eudia is an AI-powered acquisition augmentation platform purpose-built to modernize Department of the Air Force Contracting workflows, accelerate acquisition timelines, and strengthen mission readiness. Designed for the unique regulatory and operational complexity of federal contracting, Eudia automates key aquisition functions including contract review, clause logic selection, compliance verification, and source selection scoring, reducing regulatory risk and empowering contracting teams to move faster with greater precision. At its core, Eudia leverages proprietary machine learning and natural language processing models trained specifically on federal acquisition language and workflows. The platform's "contract brain" layer allows for the encoding of institutional knowledge, enabling each deployment to be tailored to the mission-specific needs of Air Force contracting units. Unlike black-box LLM-based tools or rule-based RPA systems, Eudia delivers transparent, auditable outputs with a human-in-the-loop design that maintains decision authority with contracting officers while enhancing their capacity through intelligent automation. The solution integrates seamlessly with existing government systems such as digital contract file repositories and contract writing tools, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Commercially, Eudia has demonstrated success across Fortune 500 clients including Cargill, DHL, Duracell, and Chevron, driving faster workflows, improved compliance accuracy, and measurable reductions in administrative overhead. These commercial validations provide a strong foundation for defense adaptation. Through this Direct-to-Phase II SBIR effort, Eudia will be adapted and validated within Air Force-specific acquisition environments. Development will focus on fine-tuning AI models for military workflows, establishing secure integrations, and conducting user-centered testing with acquisition professionals to ensure real-world performance. Eudia directly supports the Trusted AI and Autonomy Critical Technology Area outlined by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). By equipping contracting teams with real-time insights and mission-aligned decision support, Eudia offers a scalable, secure, and transformational capability to modernize Air Force procurement and deliver resources to the warfighter faster and more reliably.
