Research abstract

MYMIC LLC proposes the development of the Complex Incident Response Training System (CIRTS)—Combat Medic (CM). Initially, CIRTS-CM will be a game-based training system that will provide a matrixed learning and certification progression for combat medics and corpsmen responding to Improvised Explosive Device (IED) incidents. Eventually, CIRTS-CM support will be expanded to other medical domains, such as incidents other than IEDs, military combat support hospitals and civilian emergency medical technicians and other medical first responders. CIRTS-CM will provide simultaneous, multi-faceted challenges to trainees under realistic, rigorous and stressful conditions. CIRTS-CM will include an internal training management capability that will ensure the trainee is presented with the appropriate level of challenge.
