Research abstract

MillenWorks proposes to develop a mathematical model that will simulate the dynamic performance of a track system on a track-laying vehicle. This model will be used to study the effects of track tension on fuel economy, track component wear and track retention. This model will also be used to create specifications for future track tensioning devices, as well as for use in developing control algorithms for dynamic track tension control.
