Research abstract

Triton Systems Inc. and its partners propose to develop an Ultra Thin Flexible Solar (UTFS) technology using an innovative process that combines the high efficiency of crystalline-based photovoltaics with the low cost, flexibility, and light weight of thin-film photovoltaics. The proposed UTFS photovoltaic technology has the potential for significant savings in materials costs, as well as achieving a flexible, lightweight system with >22% AM1.5 efficiency in the Phase I, and >35% efficiency in the Phase II.
