Research abstract

This project will develop an open architecture "component based" surgical information system for the military health care system. The system will build upon our current commercial data collection system that is FDA cleared and the result of several prior SBIR awards. We will add components to complete the solicitation requirements. To address a broader and more durable goal we will focus on developing technology that will provide standards and open interfaces for device and data intercommunications. In particular we will address device interoperability and the incorporation of modular decision-support aids.
