Research abstract

In this SBIR Army project Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI) proposes to model, demonstrate, fabricate, and test a new EBG structure designed to enhance the performance of conformal antennas thanks to its intrinsic 3D geometry suitable to curved surfaces. To further improve the antenna performance a new carbon nanotube composite, proven to act as a microwave absorbing material, will be layered in the EBG structure in strategic locations.
