Research abstract

HYPRES is pleased to propose the development of a low cost and ultra-high performance compact antenna integrated with digital receiver. We propose to achieve higher signal to noise ratios in the order of greater than 20dB via enhanced G/T. It will be done by combining superconducting quantum interference filter (SQIF) antenna and Digital-RF receiver electronics. During Phase I project, novel circuit architecture will be developed that assures the near-term demonstration of aggressive performance specifications using available superconducting electronics technology. This project complements and leverages other HYPRES development projects for DoD involving digital receivers, as well as cryogenic integration demonstration projects.
