Research abstract

The proposed project focuses on a fabrication method for solid state high efficiency, bright electroluminescence (EL) displays for SOF Combatant Crafts using direct write technology. The direct write fabrication method is an elegant alternative to traditional fabrication methods for semiconductor devices such as vacuum deposition techniques, masking, high process temperatures, etc. The direct write EL display structures will be very simple, extremely lightweight, compact, versatile, and relatively inexpensive to produce in large quantities. This project will develop an efficient, reliable method of manufacturing of novel electroluminescence displays capable of stable, extended service and low power consumption under a wide range of environmental conditions.
