Research abstract

New Counter-Counter Measure (CCM) techniques are proposed for Missile Defense (MD) which can provide discrimination of balloons and possibly other decoys in the presence of a Re-entry Vehicle (RV). This will be accomplished by the utilization of new advanced materials and concepts manufacturing and deployment technologies unique to General Sciences, Inc. (GSI), and its subcontractor Miltec. It is expected that this effort will provide new discrimination capabilities to the missile Defense Program, by changing the velocity of decoys in space as well as providing destruction of light decoys. Other options may provide new mechanisms for RV kill as well. The objectives of this program will be accomlished by materials development, key experiments, analysis and modeling.
