Research abstract

Data Fusion Corporation (DFC), in collaboration with The Boeing Company or the Raytheon Company, propose the development of a prototype, next-generation GPS structured interference, smart jamming and multipath mitigation module that can be incorporated into the Miniature Navigator Demonstration (MIND) program. The Phase-II deliverable will be a proof-of-concept, real-time GPS structured interference, smart jamming and multipath mitigation module ready for Technical Readiness Level (TRL) 4 demonstrations. This module will be developed in conjunction with the down-selected Contractor of the MIND program and will integrated into their multi-channel receiver. This GPS interference mitigation module will consist of proprietary functions implemented on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). DFC is leveraging its existing Near-Far Resistant (NFR) processing engine, implemented on a digital signal processor (DSP), to develop this GPS technology. The DSP implementation of the NFR processing engine was sponsored by AFRL/SN. Where possible, hardware for the prototype GPS receiver will be commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components.
