Research abstract
Triton Systems has teamed up with a prime contractor to preliminarily qualify its conductive filler material as a “fastener filler” for the JSF aircraft platform. Triton’s Low Observable Conductive Elastomeric Paste (LO-CEP) uses a patented non-metallic conductive filler to deliver a cost-effective, flexible and long lasting family of formulations that exhibit prolonged shelf life before activation, and then exhibit a tunable cure time from about 30 seconds to about 30 minutes. Moreover, these fillers can be designed with varying viscosities, which allow them to be applied as a paste from a dispensing gun. This Phase II is designed as a developmental effort to establish the suitability of the Triton filler system as a lead candidate for consideration by the JSF platform. This Phase II will address material formulation, screening, optimization and manufacturing floor dispensing considerations.
