Research abstract

In Phase II of this SBIR effort, MÄK proposes to develop "QuickStrike", a simulation environment that will support time critical targeting (TCT*) team training & analysis. This synthetic environment will emulate the TCT Functionality (TCT-F) System being fielded to six AOCs, reflecting the different components and interactions associated with the TCT process as well as its fast-paced nature. QuickStrike will be HLA compliant, and therefore interoperable with the Air Force distributed training environment, i.e. Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), as well as with other DOD training systems including DARPA's DARWARS, a potential future distributed training environment. Particular importance will be placed on developing a simulated environment that can be used to train USAF personnel involved in the TCT decision-making process, however have appropriate fidelity to support TCT analysis and evaluation using both current and future USAF assets, including the JSF. MÄK will leverage our TCT subcontractor expertise (Zel Technologies) and our current COTS product line as well as our commercialization experience to develop a deployable, interactive TST simulation environment that will be accepted and utilized by Air Force personnel, as well as other military service personnel involved in Joint TST missions. *also referred to as time sensitive targeting (TST)
