Research abstract

The Air Force needs a radar tracking and imaging capability to monitor flight test missions, including the ability to derive individual trajectories of multiple objects flying simultaneously. In order to meet this requirement, the radar must employ high resolution in range, utilizing a filled spectrum. Although the solicitation advocates use of continuous-wave frequency-modulated (CWFM) radar, most commercially available radars in this class cannot meet this requirement. MARK Resources proposes to investigate all options and determine which is best in terms of performance and cost. Availability of signal processing software is another important issue to be investigated.
