Research abstract

This proposal addresses section 2 (Multi-scale integration and visualization of materials modeling and experiments) of the SBIR topic. It covers the development of a system to measure the full field strain distribution of a test sample being stressed dynamically at very high temperature. The Phase I effort will demonstrate the feasibility of the measurement using high resolution optical data acquisition with a distance-measuring telescopic microscope.
