Research abstract
We propose to improve prostate cancer diagnosis by using a panel of multiphoton detection (MPD) enabled immunoassays for proteins associated with prostate cancer. This panel will include proven markers such as PSA, and the recently discovered markers AMACR, E-FABP, EZH2, HEPSIN, and PIM1. In Phase II, we will develop assays to members of the kallikrein family of proteases other than PSA and will convert this panel of immunoassays into a super-sensitive P-chip. Some additional markers are expected to be discovered using MPD based differential display of proteins in Phase II.
