Research abstract

Triton Systems proposes to develop novel dendrimers for detection and neutralization of biological warfare agents that can be easily incorporated into materials currently used as liners or filters in HVAC systems. Triton's approach will be to incorporate functional moieties on the periphery of PAMAM dendrimers that can "capture" and "neutralize" biological warfare agents. Using this method, the detecting agents and the passivating agents can be effectively immobilized in ultra-thin films that can be fabricated directly onto filter/liner substrates.
