Research abstract

In the race for dominance in the Space Domain, the United States must continue to develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies to ensure superiority over near-peer adversaries. A key enabler of this effort is Templar’s Advanced Real-Time Flush Air Data System (FADS)—a next-generation innovation designed to enhance accuracy, survivability, and autonomy in maneuvering space reentry vehicles and weapon systems. Currently in advanced development, Templar’s FADS is being engineered for integration into blunt-nosed space reentry platforms, optimizing their guidance, control, and resilience in extreme environments. By providing real-time air data critical for flight stability and targeting, FADS supports the evolution of high-speed reentry and strategic deterrence capabilities, reinforcing the United States' dominance in space-based defense operations.
