Research abstract

QuoLab Technologies proposes to advance the development and implementation of QuoLab XSIAM, an innovative cybersecurity platform designed for collaborative, intelligence-driven cyber operations. This SBIR Phase 2 project will build on our Phase 1 by deploying our Extended Security Intelligence and Automation Management (XSIAM) functionality with a goal of proving how it directly supports DAF Operational Imperative 2: “Operationally Focused ABMS”. Phase 1 Accomplishment Recap: During Phase 1, QuoLab demonstrated the technical feasibility and value of QuoLab XSIAM for DAF customers, adding resiliency and efficiency through integrated data analysis, data sharing and collaboration between stakeholders. Key accomplishments included:Conducted technical, live demonstrations and interviews with DAF and USCYBERCOM cybersecurity professionals.Validated the open-architecture and customizable nature of the platform for long-term viability and deployment flexibility to address current and future DAF cyber use cases.Confirmed the platform's ability to enhance cyber defense operations through improved data integration, analysis and management.Key features of QuoLab XSIAM include:Data Agnostic Ingestion: Integration of diverse data sources, including commercial, proprietary, and open-source feeds.Unified Analytic Baseline: Self-scaling, customizable graph data model for comprehensive threat analysis.Intelligent Automation: Advanced automation pipelines and custom workflows for efficient intelligence processing from a multitude of data sources, both internal and external to a DAF organization.Flexible Integration: Extensive library of data connectors and a flexible REST API for seamless DAF infrastructure integration.Phase 2 Technical Objectives:Enhance the platform's ability to support ABMS by improving real-time data integration and analysis capabilities.Implement enhanced kill-chain visualizations for complex, multi-source intelligence reporting.Expand the platform's scalability to handle increased data volumes and user loads typical in DAF operations.Strengthen the platform's cybersecurity features to meet or exceed DAF security requirements.Expected Outcomes:A more robust, scalable, and efficient solution for security intelligence and automation management tailored to DAF needs.Improved threat detection and response times through enhanced automation and AI-driven analysis.Increased capacity for handling complex, multi-source intelligence data in support of ABMS objectives.Demonstration of QuoLab XSIAM's effectiveness in simulated DAF operational environments. This Phase 2 effort will focus on enhancing these core capabilities, with particular emphasis on improving automation in threat actor assessment and expanding the platform's ability to handle complex, multi-source intelligence data. We will deliver a solution that directly addresses the evolving needs of the DAF's Operational Imperative 2 for an Operationally Focused ABMS.
