Research abstract

This program would build upon recently completed work sponsored by DARPA and carried out by the team of Pratt & Whitney (P&W), Lucent Technologies (AT&T prior to 1/1/96), with Hood Technologies and Summit Applied Research as small business subcontractors. That work demonstrated the feasibility of using active control techniques to reduce resonant forced vibration levels in gas turbine rotor blades. The goal of this program is to extend this work so that it can be transitioned to a practical system.
