Research abstract

Advanced Cooling Technologies aims to develop a UV-A Reactor that inactivates pathogens at a wide range of volumes (10 mL – 50 L) with adjustable process time by tuning the fluid flow rate and UV intensity. The system is a robust and user-friendly platform with a high degree of controllability and repeatability over the inactivation process, providing a novel platform for rapid vaccine development to produce the GMP product. The project aims to develop a commercial UV-A reactor system that conducts a high throughput of psoralen/UV-A inactivation within the vaccine manufacturer's and FDA's technical requirements for making the GMP product.
