Research abstract

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) proposes to develop a high-throughput psoralen/ultraviolet-A (UV-A) based pathogen inactivation system capable of inactivating pathogens at a wide range of volumes from 0.01L to 50L under cGMP conditions. During the Phase I, a 5L prototype reactor capable of delivering UV Dosage through the fluid volume will be demonstrated. A control system software will also be developed to allow complete control over switches necessary to regulate and adjust major process parameters to ensure a complete pathogen inactivation without degrading the antigenic proteins.
