Research abstract

Vali Cyber, Inc. proposes to investigate the application of bio-inspired computing and cyber immune response techniques to develop a next-generation cybersecurity solution for orbital space platforms. Leveraging the Vali Cyber Scientific Advisory Board, including professors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, and Carnegie Mellon University, Vali Cyber will perform an in-depth literature survey to understand the current state-of-the-art bio-inspired computing and cyber immune response techniques. Vali Cyber will generate an architecture for a next-generation cybersecurity solution incorporating a bio-inspired response system to protect orbital systems. A vignette of the mission will be created to provide a practical context for evaluating the system's capabilities in detecting and responding to real-world cyber threats, thereby enabling the assessment of its applicability and effectiveness to determine the feasibility of implementing a cyber immune response system for USSF satellites.
