Research abstract

A methodology for obtaining substantial convergence acceleration for numerical simulation of predominantly supersonic flows is proposed. It is based on recently introduced preconditioning techniques and novel implementation based on unified space/time marching through appropriate relaxation approaches. The effectiveness of the new methodology will be verified and demonstrated using test problems that include those with streamwise separation, upstream influence, supersonic and subsonic flows and the effect of turbulence and chemical reactions.
