Research abstract

The goal is to develop a technology that provides situational awareness of the 911 infrastructure in near real time by collecting, aggregating, and analyzing 911 call metadata to include cyber security threat awareness and alerts. Exacom and SecuLore, an Exacom company, in partnership with ITEC will research what metadata to gather, how to gather that metadata from all available sources, and design the data analysis methodology. Exacom will then design a sensor(s) that will be utilized to collect the metadata by rearchitecting the current call recording device’s capture capabilities and combining it with the cyber security methodologies from the SecuLore acquisition. The final step will be to design and test an aggregation technology that will provide centralized data collection and analysis with AI/ML dataset sharing that can then be used to create a near real time awareness of the status across the nation’s NG911 ecosystem and share the relevant data and alerts with the impacted or potentially impacted agencies and jurisdictions.
