Research abstract

There is significant evidence that continuous multiparametric monitoring of neurological patients coutcome by earlier detection of problems allowing earlier therapeutic intervention. Current patientthe features required for the continuous recording and integration of neurological parameters to optproblems. The Phase I effort is twofold. They will construct research monitors by interfacing existiequipment to the present neuromonitor and will place them in five university test sites. These willinvestigate data integration, displays, automation, reports and user interface issues. In the seconddesign the systems architecture (hardware and software ) for a fully modular neuromonitor to be furtII. Phase II will end with a pre-production prototype of the modular monitor ready for Phase III com
