Research abstract

The overall technical objective is to develop the information systems technology necessary to implement a Materials Knowledge Base. This object-based data repository will allow the acquisition and storage of experimental materials analysis data, regardless of its origin or format. The mechanism is also provided for investigators to access and utilize that data in other experiments, analyses, or simulations without detailed knowledge of the acquisition details.
