Research abstract

The development of the next generation of more effective CFD software is proposed. The discretization will initially be based on the well-proven TVD schemes on a "grid-transparent" geometry framework that unifies the treatment of Cartesian, structured and unstructured meshes and patched aligned, nonaligned and overset topologies. Immediate implementation on MPP platforms is proposed in order to test by actual experimentation the realistic potential of emerging high performance computers.
