Research abstract

"Irvine Sensors Corporation (ISC) proposes to develop a reconfigurable processing hardware platform designed to process and improve various video compression algorithms that will meet the Theater Missile Defense need. Video information is transmitted andreceived into the hardware platform that can be encrypted and decrypted using commercially available algorithms such as NIST?s ?Rijndael AES-256-bit? encryption and NSA?s ?Skipjack?. The hardware platform integrates with existing video software thatprocesses from one single field (1/2 frame) up to 3 full seconds of video to extract the desired image with very high resolution while maintaining security. The hardware platform incorporates the latest in FPGA technology that scales as the technologyevolves as well as incorporating the latest memory chips stacked using Irvine Sensors patented stacking process. High bandwidth performance is achievable within the FPGA and memory for real-time algorithmic processing capabilities. The reconfigurabilityof the hardware platform ?learns? as the system matures and optimizes the level of performance thus disseminating any repeatable hostile threats as well as incorporating the latest algorithms for theater ready response. In addition the platform isdifficult to reverse engineer with the stacked memory and reconfigurable processor logic. The hardware platform can be integrated with existing video capture and transmission devices. This technolog
