Research abstract

SARA, Inc. is the industry leader in advanced non-lethal high energy acoustic beam weapon technology. We have very extensive experience in high power acoustic source design and engineering, testing and analysis. This technology is now ready to be developed into practical devices for both military police and civilian law enforcement. SARA, Inc. has provided several briefings to federal and civilian law enforcement on our incapacitating weapon technology systems which have resulted in high enthusiasm and support for our technologies. SARA, Inc. has the experience and capability to efficiently transition advanced technology systems into practical products for real world applications. We propose to adapt our existing high power acoustic source designs to provide less- than-lethal devices for both Military Police and civilian law enforcement applications. The advantage of acoustic less-than-lethal sources are that they largely eliminate the social concerns about excessive force as they can be selectively varied over a range of desired effect levels from discomfort to strong discomfort/incapacitation to immobilization.
