Research abstract

Base Operations will provide the U.S. Air Force with a transformative security intelligence platform designed to enhance resilience, support rapid decision-making, and improve global threat awareness across a contested environment. Utilizing AI-driven data analytics, the platform will continuously process and analyze physical security risks from a diverse array of global sources, ensuring that Air Force operations remain informed by the most current, granular threat intelligence available. Aligned with the Air Force’s focus on Global Persistent Awareness, Rapid, Effective Decision-Making, and Resilient Information Sharing, Base Operations delivers actionable intelligence that empowers command units to anticipate and mitigate risk. By integrating geospatial data and predictive analysis, the platform supports the Air Force’s Operationally Focused Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), contributing to enhanced decision superiority in complex and fast-moving battle spaces.Base Operations’ platform is built to deliver customized threat intelligence through key features, such as its proprietary Global Threat Model, which leverages millions of time series data points to predict security risks and trends, and My Locations Dashboard, a user-friendly interface that provides a bird’s eye view of risk across all monitored locations. Additionally, the BaseScore™ system generates dynamic risk scores that continuously update based on real-time changes, enabling users to rapidly assess and prioritize threats. With the Report Download feature, deep insights and analyses can be easily converted into consumable reports for stakeholders, supporting decision-making and operational planning across the Air Force. These features enable the platform to enhance force protection, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen mission readiness across diverse operating environments. Base Operations’ solution directly supports the Department of the Air Force’s Operational Imperatives, including maintaining force protection, enhancing forward base resilience, and ensuring continuity of operations in the face of advanced kinetic threats. Through AI-powered automation, the platform reduces human workload and accelerates mission-critical decisions, aligning with the Air Force’s goal to dominate time, space, and complexity in future conflicts.
