Research abstract

Base Operations will equip AMC Security Forces with an AI-powered security intelligence platform designed to enhance threat detection, decision-making, and situational awareness. By leveraging data analytics, the platform processes security threats from multiple intelligence sources, ensuring AMC forces operate with the most accurate risk assessments available.  Aligned with AMC’s strategic priorities—Global Reach, Agile Combat Employment, and Resilient Force Protection—Base Operations delivers actionable intelligence that enables rapid threat mitigation. Through geospatial analytics and predictive modeling, the platform supports Contingency Response operations, ensuring force protection teams maintain operational advantage in contested environments.  Key platform features include an AI-powered Threat Assessment Engine for identifying emerging risks, a Security Operations Dashboard for threat monitoring, and a Dynamic Risk Index that updates threat levels continuously. These capabilities enhance force protection, optimize deployment strategies, and strengthen mission readiness.  Base Operations supports the Department of the Air Force’s operational requirements, including securing forward operating locations and mitigating asymmetric threats like small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The platform’s AI-driven automation accelerates threat assessment, ensuring AMC forces can respond swiftly to evolving security challenges.  The proposed platform aligns with Operational Imperative 2, Operationally Focused Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Operational Imperative 7, Readiness to Deploy and Fight. Base Operations' platform enhances decision-making and operational flexibility. The Phase II effort will refine AI-driven security analytics, improve geospatial threat visualization, and optimize user experience for AMC Security Forces, ensuring a scalable and interoperable solution for force protection.
