Research abstract

This proposal advocates the development of a tool to provide the Navy with a mechanism for conducting in depth evaluation of distributed human performance. This tool will produce a truthing, testing, and evaluation environment designed to meet the US Navy's progressively increasing requirements for evaluating human performance while opertaing complex Navy systems. The development effort has focused on providing the means for testing distributed human performance activities, using statdardized personal computer derived test units interconnected owver common data carrier data links and controlled from a central testing site. The overall approach directly leverages previous work at Cybernet in building distributed Army test and evaluation systems and ARPA operator performance evaluation systems. The outcome of this effort is directed at producing a commerical product that will support testing and monitoring distributed human performance.
