Research abstract

TECHNICAL ABSTRACT•OVERVIEW: The Air Force has a vital and urgent need to rapidly exploit Full Motion Video (FMV) in real-time to meet dynamic and evolving threats from near-peer adversaries like China and Russia. This need is crucial for identifying and neutralizing high-value targets in time-sensitive missions. With Clarifai's AI-powered platform, warfighters are able to rapidly build and deploy purpose-built AI applications to process FMV, significantly reducing the time spent on manual review and analysis of video feeds.•Clarifai will reduce the cost and time required to process FMV feeds, allowing analysts to focus on more strategic tasks by automating object detection and tracking in real-time video streams.TECHNICAL MERIT•Clarifai’s AI platform enables non-expert users to create and deploy customized computer vision models. The platform is specifically designed to support real-time FMV processing by using pre-trained models for object detection and tracking.•This capability allows users to rapidly train and deploy AI models that can process large amounts of FMV data, providing real-time insights, reducing operational delays, and improving decision-making capabilities on the battlefield. Analysts can quickly identify and track high-value targets, freeing them from the labor-intensive task of manually reviewing hours of footage.TEAM•Clarifai is founded and led by some of the brightest minds in artificial intelligence. The company’s team includes PhDs from top research institutions and AI companies, with deep expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and AI model development.•Matt Zeiler, Clarifai’s founder, is a renowned expert in the AI field, with extensive publications and research contributions to computer vision and deep learning. Over his 20 years in the field, he has successfully launched multiple AI companies and has been instrumental in advancing the use of AI for military and commercial applications.
