Research abstract

This proposed Phase II SBIR effort addresses the problem of small form-factor, HF to 40 GHz, Radio Frequency (RF) Direction Finding (DF) and Electronic Attack (EA) systems with the objective of a complete DF/EA antenna solution that fits into four (4) one (1) foot cubes. The proposed Phase II Base period delivers:A prototype HF to 40 GHz DF antenna system tested in a representative environment on representative waveforms and scenarios with antennas fitting in a 1 cubic foot volume.Advancement of the design, modeling, and simulation of the VHF to 40 GHz EA system including antennas, amplifiers, and gimbals, fitting in three (3) 1 cubic foot volumes. The proposed Phase II Option period delivers:A Ruggedized and tested DF antenna system.Further integration and test of the DF with MCSC Electronic Support (ES)/EA systems.Prototype and test of the EA antenna system.
