Research abstract

Not Available We propose to develop a Real-time/Predictive Medical Data Fusion Watchboard to enhance the medical care and readiness of a medical treatment facility by allowing medical care providers, support personnel and remote command staff to rapidly visualize and assess the tactical medical situation. The system will gather, fuse and display casualty related data on a watchboard. This will include patient status, patient location, en-route patients, space utilization, staff utilization, equipment status, and supply status. The tool will gather data from a variety of sources, including the Internet, and on-line databases. The system will include a predictive casualty management simulation and capture and record all data generated during a medical incident or exercise. Thus the system will also be usable for medical training activities and after-action reviews.
