Research abstract

Following on from the highly successful collaboration between Adaptive Dynamics, Inc. (ADI) and Collins Aerospace Corporation (CAC) to develop the GEMINI (Generalized Excision of Multiple INput Interference) Interference Mitigation (IM) technology on contract N68335-20-C-0621 under SBIR Topic N193-D03 "Resilient Tactical Communications Using Interference Mitigation Techniques", the proposed sequential Phase 2 effort will complete development, with an expected outcome of TRL 8. The overall objective over the 3 increments is to revise the “Baseline” firmware build from v1.0 to v3.2, adding an optimized GEMINI Prime capability (v3.2) to the existing IMPS capability (v1.0), with intermediate capabilities for GEMINI a and IMPS (v2.0), and an initial (incomplete) capability for GEMINI Prime and IMPS (v3.0).  Employing this incremental development minimizes integration risk via capability off-ramps that will be verified in the Base effort and extensively tested in the PoR hardware during Options 1 and 2, maximizing opportunity to optimize performance and reduce resources.
