Research abstract
The United States Space Force (USSF) has unique operational imperatives that require a new innovative workforce firmly planted in the digital engineering world and able to adapt quickly to new and changing technologies. The SUPRA Project intends to provide the USSF with the newest and most cutting-edge BMT program of the Armed ServicesŚand serve as the gold standard DOD BMT program for the foreseeable future and beyond. Team SUPRA (Azimuth Corporation and Prevailance, Inc.) will develop a robust, distinctly USSF program that leverages innovative technology to foster the development of critical skills, decision-making abilities, and muscle memory necessary for a Guardian to be successful in their future role. The SUPRA Project will address the following key aspects: cost-effectiveness, repetitive practice, personalized training, immediate feedback, remote training, tactical communication, data-driven analysis, cybersecurity training, equipment familiarization, risk mitigation, and scenario customization. The multi-phased, multi-faceted project will include designing a new BMT curriculum, designing and building a digital training platform that allows for the incorporation of current and future technologies as learning tools and progress monitors, and designing SoA AI-enabled services for teaching/mentoring/metrics reporting. The SUPRA platform and BMT curriculum will be purposefully designed to transition prior service members, other DOD professionals, and individual civilians into a Guardian workforce using scientific-based training and education approaches. The platform and curriculum will include live, immersive, virtual, and reality-based technologies combined with pedagogical best practices. Phase I of the project will result in an outline of the BMT curriculum as well as Agile storyboards that will drive the software development process for implementation that is specific to the USSF. Further project phases will result in a fully implemented curriculum and platform that have been beta-tested by both the USSF BMT team and new GuardiansŚand a full release of the finished platform.
