Research abstract

The resurgence of Great Power Competition (GPC) and the fast pace of technological innovation in a stringent budgetary constrained environment necessitates a profound transformation to conduct strategic cargo delivery to support Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).  The current logistical methods of employing guided or unguided parachutes: Do not provide sufficient lateral offset. Are not accurate enough. Are not cost-effective. Will not survive in an Anti-Access Aerial Denial (A2AD) environment.  This proposal aims to design and deliver a prototype precision delivery vehicle called BoomSlang Non-Kinetic (NK) that can conduct a ramp exit from a CV-22 or C-130 or equivalent and transverse over 200 nautical miles and deliver under a Circular Error Probability (CEP) of 200 meters of its intended target with a $30K unit cost target.
