Research abstract

HavenLock's Lockdown™ is a revolutionary top-of-door smartlock designed for swift intrusion detection, prevention, and notification. It offers quick installation, under20 minutes per door, powered by lithium batteries. With over 10,000 units installed nationwide, it's madea significant impact in various settings, including the University of Tennessee, Davidson County Sheriff'soffice, and Mathnasium tutoring centers. Widely embraced by non-defense customers, HavenLock'splatform enhances facility security, allowing rapid locking in under two seconds. Built-in accelerometersdetect attacks and alert first responders, reducing response times. The locks can be remotely unlocked, reducing response times further. Lockdown™ features an internal battery lasting up to 5 years, ensuringfacility control during power outages. In summary, Lockdown™ provides improved security,cost-efficiency, and durability. Major corporations such as Siemens, ADT, and Alarm.com activelyendorse the grant initiative, showing strong interest in Locksight as a superior solution for theircustomers.Notably, HavenLock’s cutting-edge technology has also proven invaluable in emergencies by facilitatinga quick response of first responders. Each individual lock includes an accelerometer that detects when alocked door is attacked and remotely sends a threat detection signal back to a centralized panel oroperations center, thereby providing first responders the exact location within a facility beingattacked/threatened. Furthermore, the locks can be unlocked via security panel or individual doordeactivation, enabling authorized personnel to gain access to facilities in a timely and controlled manner. This feature drastically reduces the response time, allowing first responders to act more efficiently andeffectively in urgent situations.HavenLock’s design and maintenance are highly regarded by commercial facility managers. The lock canbe installed in a mere 20 minutes, resulting in significant cost savings through a reduction in requiredlabor. On average, this translates to a savings of $1,500 per door in labor charges compared to atraditional magnetic locking device. HavenLock’s innovative design requires three times less maintenancethan traditional magnetic locks, resulting in fewer malfunctions and decreased maintenance support. It is also the strongest lock on the market, with a holding force of 2,000 lbs versus a magnetic lock that has1,650 lbs of holding force.
