Research abstract

The Air Force has deep space simulation chambers that operate at high vacuum conditions and cryogenic temperatures, which are used for evaluating and testing sensors for military air and space applications. At these facilities, there is a need for delivering high power radiation from external sources to within the cryochamber. We are developing new, optimized solutions for high-power beam delivery to meet these needs. The effort leverages our hollow fiber technology, as well as vacuum interface solutions developed by our spin-off company Guiding Photonics. Under Phase II, we will design, produce, test, demonstrate, and deliver prototypes of immediate use to Air Force.
