Research abstract

The aim of Physna Inc. is to enhance rapid, effective decision making that impacts the warfighter by enhancing the digital picture available at all levels initially within depot operations, integrating with program offices incrementally, as well as offering an enhanced digital picture for users and therefore increased options at scale and speed. As such, through its algorithmic codification of models/assemblies, it provides recognition of any changes however small that may have occurred maliciously or otherwise, before parts are fitted for operations. The main goals of our involvement in this project are:PLM Integration; demonstrate the capability to effectively ingest parts and assembly data derived from a minimum of 11 different file formats common to Defense/Industry, including Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) with relevant DoD unclass, open source dataData Security; demonstrate the capability to provide a search across the Physna Inc. network of parts/assemblies from multiple uses, enforcing data security for USAF/vendors, to include protection of Internet Protocol (IP), to their satisfactionDemocratization of data; demonstrate the capability to deliver a unified geometrically based, multimodal (combination of text, supply item metadata, images, 3D scans and 3D models) search platform across local and external network of supply items, onboarding at least one new aerospace supplier within the first 6 months Geometry and attributes; demonstrate the ability to ingest 3D models and attributes from vendors that have uploaded to Nexus/Unified Search Platform (developed with Unity Technologies)Technical maturity; demonstrate the ability to deliver a next generation (NextGen) intelligent search capability powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to locate supply items using 2D images, 3D scan models, multimodal combination of text, images, scans, models.Physna Inc will bring its expertise from its Industry use cases where it has demonstrated the differentiating capabilities of geometric search to improve efficiency, productivity, supply chain resilience and cost.
