Research abstract

A configurable heated baselayer provides tailorable active warmth in extreme cold environments. It is a low-profile, low-bulk garment containing flexible heating elements and a small-scale power source integrated into the garment for comfort and ease of use. The location of the heating elements and power source are optimized to keep the wearer warm without overheating or shorting. The heating elements can be adjusted by the wearer depending on their individual preferences, comfort, and environmental conditions.
