Research abstract

The Photon-X 3D Passive Visual Ranging system will provide observation, distance measurement, and orientation data to the user in natural and artificial lighting during both day and night. The Photon-X technology will take advantage of 3D Shape digital imaging while maintaining the affordability similar to existing direct-view, day-only rangefinders. The Photon-X 3D digital capability will allow the user to take advantage of other data streams and digital sensors available to them. The Photon-X 3D sensing technology will design and developed to survive environments where special operations are conducted. Photon-X will design, develop, fabricate, test, demonstrate and deliver 6 prototypes packaged in a hand held, ruggedized final form factor.
