Research abstract

Attollo proposes the development of a new Laser Rangefinder tool for the Visual Augmentation System, applying Attollo’s extensive experience with the development of imaging and laser rangefinding systems and components. The ranging performance and the imaging resolution and low-light capabilities have been maximized while holding the SWAP to the limits in the solicitation: a maximum size of 64 cubic inches; maximum weight of 18 ounces; and a minimum run time of 30 minutes with 75 ranges and 20 rapid ranging events. The system will be environmentally hardened to meet levels specified in the Phase II proposal guide. Attollo’s proposed Phase II program will deliver six complete TRL 6 (or 6+) VAS LRF prototypes ready for customer evaluation and field testing.
