Research abstract

Due to the increasing reliance on contracted support from commercial entities and increasing usage of mobile and web technologies in military operations, many military activities may generate and leave traces and signals in the public domain, which could provide a discernable pattern that an innovative adversary could use to derive the capabilities and intentions of the US military. To address this concern, Nexcepta, Inc. proposes to develop an integrated software tool, SEAL, to support automated information extraction, retrieval, and susceptibility evaluation and analysis of publicly available data related to military operations and logistics. SEAL offers enhanced open-source intelligence to help with shaping and securing future releases of military logistics and plannings. SEAL can work either standalone or as a complementary capability to other data analytics tools. ???????
