Research abstract

Assured Space Access Inc introduces the "FreeSpace" Data-as-a-Service, a groundbreaking solution designed to significantly enhance Space Domain Awareness. Central to this technology is the Conformal Patch Array Luneburg Lens (CPALL), an innovative sensor system capable of detecting and tracking Resident Space Objects (RSOs) as small as 1cm in Low Earth Orbit. This advanced technology marks a pivotal advancement in the field of space surveillance and monitoring. The CPALL sensor, a core component of FreeSpace DaaS, employs a unique configuration that melds the Luneburg Lens's wideband capabilities with a conformal patch array. This combination allows for a full-sky view from each sensor location, drastically improving detection coverage and reducing blind spots often encountered in traditional systems. The sensor network, when deployed globally, can observe multiple targets simultaneously from various angles, ensuring continuous monitoring without gaps in scan time - a crucial factor in tracking fast-moving and unpredictable space debris. A significant innovation within FreeSpace is the integration of compressed sensing algorithms. These algorithms enable the system to detect faint RF signal reflections with a high degree of accuracy, even in challenging signal-to-noise scenarios. This technical capability results in a substantial reduction in the required sample counts and transmitter power, leading to more efficient and cost-effective operations. ???????ASAI ensure that the data captured by CPALL sensors are not only accurate and comprehensive but also seamlessly compatible with existing defense data infrastructures. This integration provides actionable intelligence, augmenting decision-making processes and enhancing the effectiveness of space operations.
