Research abstract

Mantel Technologies will continue development of the Canine VO2Max Measurement System in this Phase II STTR. The current system demonstrates that an accurate and feasible on-canine measurement device is feasible. Future work will focus on several key areas of improvement. Improvements will include continued mask iterative design that will address multi-sized canine commissure fit profiles and a mask harness fit system, a reduction in size and weight of the sensor package, advanced multimodal benchtop testing with programmable panting profiles, and live canine measurements with associated exercise fatigue protocols prescribing end user employment of the system to evaluate MWD/MPC fitness at the unit/kennel level.
