Research abstract

The Adv Materials Innovations (AMI) team, collaborating with Tidewater Sensors, have both previously worked on wireless sensor technology under license from NASA. The technology, needs to be modified for this application. Tidewater (now a division of Odometer Gears LTD) developed a level sensor for fuel tanks for marine applications. Using knowhow from AMI, this technology will be physically modified to meet Navy oil tank requirements for the demanding operational environment, independent of oil reservoir size, shape and will meet measurement accuracy by enhancing measurement accuracy with the addition of machine learning.
