Research abstract

Xplosion will provide a student/recruit activity monitoring web dashboard. This dashboard is enabled by recruits wearing smartwatches and going through weekly training modules remotely to assist them in their training for the cardio test, and nutrition eating modules to assist them with overall Body Mass Index. The local recruiter will be able to monitor the most at-risk kids in their community to verify their progress towards achieving their cardio goals, and overall activity for the week. Our goal is to improve the percentage of new recruits' ability to pass the military test. At a time when American military forces are stretched thin overseas, a growing number of potential recruits are too fat to enlist, according to an analysis by Cornell economists. https://phys.org/news/2010-10-military-applicants-denied-due-obesity.html
