Advancing Trustworthy, High-Performance LLM Applications with Multimodal Data Access

Unstructured will partner with AFTC to advance the Air Force’s ability to interact with complex, multimodal testing data by enhancing preprocessing capabilities across diverse data types. Building on a successful prior collaboration, this effort will deliver modular, adaptable pipelines that prepare heterogeneous data for integration with large language models (LLMs), enabling more accurate, confident interactions in mission-critical workflows. The work will include rigorous testing and evaluation of processing strategies to quantify tradeoffs in accuracy and computational performance, supporting informed deployment across a range of operational environments. As part of this effort, Unstructured will develop a test and evaluation framework to benchmark emerging transformation techniques, enabling AFTC to assess and adopt advances in AI-driven data orchestration over time. This capability directly aligns with AFTC’s mission to accelerate test workflows and evaluate advanced AI systems, while laying the foundation for sustained, flexible integration of generative AI into Air Force operations.
